This is the charming Celeste Hattaway. I met her in Hackberry. She was sitting in a rocking chair in front of the "General store" on the side of the road 66. She's there everyday, we had a drink and she explained to me that she is 74 years old and she walks here everyday from her house. In 10 minutes she told me her whole life and I shot a couple portraits of her. She gave me a few tips to stay in good shape and, brandishing her mug, she insisted on the fact that one must always carry his own cup for coffee or drinks. I left with a smile that staid on my face for miles as I was crossing another desert.
